Catherine Erosie Igben is a PhD fellow in Public Health, Department of Public Health, School of Public Health and Community Development, Maseno University, Kenya. She had her Master’s degree in Health Education from the Department of Health Promotion and Environmental Health Education, University of Ilorin, Nigeria, in 2019, while her Bachelor’s degree in Health Education was obtained from Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria, in 2014. As a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®), she has passion in identifying obstacles to health and wellbeing in relation to sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, social, emotional and psychological wellbeing, and ways to contribute in ameliorating them. Her recent work includes assessment, planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating an intervention on Symptothermal Method as a strategy to ameliorate unmet need for family planning among women in Kisumu County, Kenya. Her recent achievement as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC), has no doubt increased her competency and proficiency in health education and health promotion project and program management. Catherine has served in various capacities as a Corps liaison Officer (CLO), Facilitator, Lecturer, and Project coordinator. She is skilled in quantitative and qualitative research; have strong drive and passion to train, lecture and  disseminate knowledge; passionate about promoting wellbeing of the community; possess ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate, monitor and control health promotion/health education programs to achieve set goals; highly equipped intellectually with self-motivation in the area of health education and public health; proficient in statistical analytical packages such as SPSS and research referencing tools such as Mendeley and Zotero; certified in data processing (MS Word, Excel, Power point);  possess ability to drive cheerful and social interactions  with strong professional and work ethics. She likes badminton and enjoys teaching (jw.org) God’s word to others.
